Road to Survival: Evacuate Areejs Family from Gaza

My name is Mena kilada, I am organising this fundraiser for my dear friend Ahmed Yassin he is unfortunately very worried for his family whom i have met multiple of times during my visits to Gaza in recent years before this war ,he asked me to organise this fundraiser for him and it is the least i can do and i will also have full responsibility for transferring the funds to him and his family outside of gofund me once our goal has been reached, Here is his story !!

My name is Ahmed Yassin, I am Areej Yassin older brother and I want to share the harrowing journey my family has endured in Gaza. Living in constant fear and uncertainty, the echoes of explosions became the soundtrack of their daily lives, while the heartbreaking sight of destruction surrounded us. Forced to flee their home not once, not twice, but six times, we sought refuge in overcrowded camps, clinging to hope for safety amidst the chaos. As the violence escalated, we knew we had to find a way out to protect themselves from the horrors of war.

I was lucky enough to escaped the war two months ago with my wife as she had a medical emergency and I am currently staying in Egypt and I am hoping to have the chance to meet my family again in Cairo.

My family consists of my dear mother Wafaa, my two sisters Areej and Amal and her two twin Baby Girls Basma and Wafaa and My two brothers Amjad and Mohammad.

Through the generosity of the donors who I will forever be thankful to, I hope I can get to see my family and that hope can become a reality if this fundraiser reaches its goal, then I will be able to finally secure a passage for them out of Gaza.

There is a way to escape Gaza, but unfortunately it required funds that we simply don’t have. With no other options left, we decided to start a fundraiser, reaching out to anyone who could help my family to find the road to survival through Egypt.

But it come with its expenses with the Egyptian border requesting $5,000 per person and my family consists of 7 people that brings it to a total of $35,000 that's without thought of the expense of living once we are through the border because we would also need another $5,000 to secure a home for our new beginning in Egypt to survive the first couple of months there.

The journey ahead is going to be long and challenging, but with the support of kind-hearted individuals who believes in our cause and supports me to get my loved ones out, My family will have a chance at a new beginning, free from the shadow of violence and fear.
