Road to Rookie State Championships

June 8th -11th, our Lutz All Star Rookie boys played their hearts out for four games of baseball at its finest, and came out on top.
The games they played this weekend were nerve-racking at times, but all around fun to watch and more importantly, an incredible experience for these hard-working boys. The first game out against the defending champs, the team lost 2-10, but the boys didn't give up or stay down. They came back, slugging and defending their way to win their next three games 11-0, 17-0 and 17-6!! Overall, they scored 47 runs to their opponents 16...that's phenomenal!
Unbeknownst to us, our team had actually entered into a qualifying tournament, that would send the best teams to the Florida Rookie State Championship in Palm Beach Gardens June 28th. Mixed with excitement over the team's win was a bit of "Oh boy. Ok. Well, are we going to be able to pull this off?"
This GoFundMe was set up to help us answer that question and allow us to help with hotel and food costs. With such a short turnaround until the next tournament (3 weeks away), we want to make sure all the boys and their families are able to be back together as a team, playing their hearts out again, this time for the Rookie State Championships!
