danielles road to heart transplant

Most of you know Danielle’s story. For those that don’t. She has a Genetic heart condition called ARVC very rare and fatal. Her heart rate will escalate to the point of becoming fatal. 2015 she went into cardiac arrest and It is a progressive condition and in her case it is aggressive. Meaning it gets worse, at a faster rate than normal pace. There is no cure or fix for it. In the last year or so. Her condition has started to worsen. She spent several weeks in the hospital at Duke back in January, while they tried to figure out a way to slow it down. They took her out of work and she is also fighting for disability because her doctors wont let her work due the progression of the disorder. The team of Doctors that she has up at Duke are some of the best in the country at what they do. And they have taken her in like family. They have reached the point that they have exhausted all options. The only option left is prepare for a heart transplant. There’s one obstacle though. She has to lose weight, and her disease will not allow her to exercise. Her doctors have told her that losing  the natural way will take too long. Right now she is in a crunch time in which her ventriclar Tachycardia has slowed down enough for her to be stable for this weight loss surgery. As of right now she is not a candidate for a heart. She also just went thru a thyroidectomy because her medication to slow the heart killed her thyroid. if she doesn’t lose the weight, she won’t be eligible for a transplant. So they have told her she has to go through another surgery. Here’s the obstacle though. Insurance will not pay for it! They claim that surgery is elective and therefore not necessary. So they will not cover any of the cost. So, that’s where I need you. In Danielles case its life or death. The hardest thing in the world is to look at somebody and see their need. And not be able to help them. I’m asking each of you. To consider donating some money to help make the needed surgery happen. Any amount will help and will be greatly appreciated. The only thing I ask. Is that you pray about it first. Speaking of prayers. Danielle could use some to! she is always smiling and never questions why this happens to her, she simply keeps her faith in Jesus. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this. I appreciate your time.
