Medical and traveling expenses

Don protégé

For 8 years now our mom Bryna has been dealing with a rare neuropathic pain syndrome called Anterior Cutaneous Nerve Entrapment Syndrome.  This causes her severe and physically visible, painful spasms 100's and 100's of times day-and-night due to the damaged nerves entrapped/entangled in her stomach muscles. Her quality of life has suffered and deteriorated  for many years now to the point where she has been deemed disabled and unable to work .Simple everyday tasks have become challenging or hindered and it has even affected the way she is able to play with her grandchildren.
After many discouraging and frustrating years of NOT being able to find a doctor that has knowledge of this condition let alone how to treat this, she has found a doctor at Northwestern University Hospital in Chicago that specializes in a revolutionary nerve allograft surgery using cadaver nerves to help repair the damaged nerves along with reconstruction of the abdominal wall.  She stayed strong, fought hard and on her OWN behalf, pushed to get where she is today!
She will have to stay in Chicago for 2 weeks for the  hospital stay and post op appointments. I am asking for any donations to help her pay for the cost she will be occurring with her insurance only covering 80% of the procedure, travel costs, lodging  and uncovered medical equipment she will need to aid in her recovery. Any donation would sincerely be appreciated and a true blessing for our mom and our family. Thank you!
