Speech Nationals - Black MKE Youth

The last of anything can be bittersweet. As I wrap up my final coaching year for this amazing team I ask those who love to see the youth, especially Black youth, excel and advance far beyond the reaches of normal secondary education.
The money collected will help finance two national tournaments (3 days in Washington D.C and 7 days in Fort Lauderdale) for two outstanding young Black men - Durran Goodwin and Carleon Outlaw and one phenomenal Black woman Morgan Coleman (and their coaching staff).
Items money is used for:
Washington D.C = (4 plane tickets cost roughly $2060.00/ 2 hotel rooms that will be shared with Reagan cost roughly $1100.00/ 3 entrance fees cost $100.00 each = This total is about $3460.00)
Fort Lauderdale = (Flight approx. 1520 $) (Hotel approx. 2000$) (Transportation approx. 750$)
Money will be put to good use.
Durran Goodwin semi-finaled in both dramatic interp and poetry/prose at Emory University's Barkley tournament (2018). He also quarter finaled at Harvard's 44th annual Speech and Debate tournament.
Carleon Outlaw WON 1st place at both Emory and Harvard in Dramatic Interp.
We are expecting great results coming from the D.C and Florida tournaments, but in order for us to show up and show out - we must be able to get there.

Your donation helps alleviate structural and systemic forms of financial oppression on the school, team, and the three young Black students. It also instills hope, inspiration, and motivation to do our BEST for strangers that don't know much about who we are, but nevertheless have enough love in their hearts to support a great cause and experience.
