River Jacobs Medical Treatment
Donation protected
We are raising money for 3 year old River Jacobs, son of Ashley and Paul Jacobs.
What started as a mild fever turned into a terrible rash. Ashley was in South Carolina to attend her grandfather's funeral. Friday night, September 8, River broke out into a severe rash which started to bleed. He was rushed to the hospital in Florence, SC. Doctors ran many tests and suspected Kawasaki Disease but didn't have the full resources for treatment.
The doctors recommended transferring him
to the Children's Hospital at UNC Chapel Hill. Ashley and River were transferred by ambulance in the middle of the night to UNC.
Doctors did indeed diagnose him with Kawasaki Disease. On Sunday he started treatment, but unfortunately had an allergic reaction to the medicine. He will now have to stay even longer in the hospital.
Luckily, he is receiving amazing treatment at UNC.
We are asking for your help in paying the staggering bills Ashley and Paul will be facing. They will have bills from the Florence hospital, the ambulance ride, and UNC.
Any amount, no matter how small, will be a huge help!
