Raising money for shelter in Poznan, Poland

Myself, Diane and our children worked hard in Poznan tirelessly, saw a lot heartbreaking situations and we have decided to keep GoFundMe collection open, to raise more money.

Caritas Poznan purely relies only on dontations and they desperately need money to provide food and shelter for all of those who have fled war.

Franek, a medical student, is the leader of the shelter and such an amazing inspiring young man, who is the best example of selfless, caring individual 24/7, constantly fighting for any dontations and help for Ukrainian refugees.

We feel privileged to be given chance to work with him.

I have been working tirelessly, since the war in Ukraine started. Not because I want to, but because I have to, been Polish feeling empathy for my Ukrainian neighbors, urgency of the terrible situation the Ukrainians have found themselves in. Over the past two weeks, I have found homes in Scotland for over  47 families and, with help from people who have offered accommodation, I continue to work day and night for those who are fleeing their war torn country.

The kindness across Glasgow has been incredible, and I cannot thank everyone who has contributed in some way, but I now need money because I’m going to Poznan, Poland on 4th April, where thousands of refugees are gathering until they are able to move on to more permanent accommodation. They are absolutely desperate for toiletries, sanitary products, nappies, medicines etc and I’m going to hire a van and go to the warehouse to buy these necessities and give them to as many people as possible, so I ask you to please donate what you can and I promise to use the money wisely and document our trip. Every last penny of the money raised will be spent on these items and anything else they urgently need, as I am funding the trip myself. So please, I ask you to donate anything you can and thank you in advance.
