RIP Tia Paty ( Luz Patricia Salgado)

Tia Paty (Luz Patricia Salgado) was someone very special and loved. Many people know her from when she helped families get enrolled in school. She worked for Head Start for many years and helped so many. She translated for many in the community and helped people find the resources they needed. She was the most patient person I’ve ever met, she was great with kids. She never had kids but to us she was like a second mom. We lost her on New Years Eve. All of her family is in Mexico and we would like to give her a proper funeral. Ideally we would like to send her body to Mexico for my grandma to see her one more time but with the world circumstances right now that’s the the toughest route. We are raising money to help give her a proper farewell. If you knew Pat or she ever helped you, please comment and share a story about her.
