RIP Monte

Monte died instantly on 8th March when an American staffy tore his throat apart. Monte was on a lead walking past Hummerstons Butcher shop in Lane Cove West. The attack was over in seconds leaving onlookers in a state of shock. The American staffy owners managed to get the dog back into their car and departed the scene before police turned up.
Monte’s owner, Judy Carroll said “Monte was my little impulse buy when I went out for coffee and bought home the most beautiful puppy ever.”
Paying tribute to her beloved dog, Judy added “Monte was a typical Cavoodle. He loved being walked, running in the park, chasing birds, his people and anyone else who paid him attention and, of course, treats.
However, he was unique to his family who loved him so much for his quirkiness, ability to tell the time, love of his two cats and Labrador, Max, who sadly passed away last year.
Monte was small but had attitude, was opinionated and very popular locally and while the Carroll family are just devastated at losing him under such tragic and needless circumstances are aware that there are a lot of others who will miss him as well.”
RIP MOO.
We are raising money so the dog can be cremated and a plaque can be placed at the Lane Cove West Shops. The owners thank everyone for the offer of buying a new dog but at this stage they are still grieving and eventually, they will get a rescue dog.
