RIP Lupita Gonzalez Alaffa

Alicia, 24, has been working full time and helping her mother to care for Alex, who is 22 and has severe cases of Autism and Epilepsy. Ariana, 19, has been pursuing her higher education at Gettysburg College, where she is currently a sophomore. In the past week, their world has been turned upside-down.


Less than one year after the unexpected loss of their father this past March, the Castro siblings tragically lost their mother, Lupita, on Friday, October 6th, 2017. Lupita was the backbone of the family, a true embodiment of happiness, strength, and love. She will be missed by everyone who knew her, but especially her children.


Alicia, Alex, and Ariana now bear the tremendous burden of covering the immediate expenses for a proper funeral for their mother. Without their parents nor any substantial savings to fall back on, the Castros need our help. Anything we can give to these three siblings will be put towards a Catholic service for Lupita, with any additional funds raised going towards Alex’s medical expenses and Ariana’s education.
