Morire a soli 27 anni non è giusto. Morire lontani da casa, con in tasca ancora molti sogni da realizzare:inaccettabile.
Zelalem Bekele Mengistu era uno studente di un corso di Master in Economia e Commercio presso l’Università Politecnica delle Marche.
Il 31 Luglio, insieme ai suoi amici universitari si è recato in spiaggia a Palombina per sfuggire all’afa della città. Ciò che doveva essere un piacevole pomeriggio in compagnia si è trasformato in tragedia. In quello specchio d’acqua Mengistu ha incontrato la morte risucchiato da una corrente marina.
Mengistu proviene da una zona rurale dell’etiopia, la mamma non ha i mezzi per farsi carico delle spese esose per il rimpatrio della salma.
In rappresentanza della esigua comunità Etiope presente sul territorio, e uniti ai suoi amici universitari ci stiamo attivando per supportare la famiglia a fare fronte alle suddette spese.
Anche il più piccolo contributo ha un valore immenso per restituire ai genitori il corpo del proprio figlio e dare una dignitosa sepoltura a Mengistu nella sua terra natale.

Dying young as 27 years old is unjust, and it is grievous when one dies while he is far away from his home and family, to pursue his dreams. Zelalem Bekele MENGISTU was a master's degree student in the faculty of Economics in the Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona, Italy. On July 31, 2019, Mengistu together with his two friends went to the Palombina beach to spend the warm afternoon at sea, and our beloved brother and friend had been taken away by a tragic accident.
Mengistu’s parents are farmers who live in a remote village of Ethiopia and do not have the means to pay for the funeral costs. Hence, everyone in our small Ethiopian community and friends are doing everything we can to help his family in this tragedy. And, we are here to ask for any help we can get to support them for the repatriation of his body to Ethiopia.
