Riliegh is Donating her 7th Birthday

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

Our daughter decided to raise money for the bullies in need charity (www.bulliesinneed.ca)  last year as opposed to anyone purchasing any birthday gifts for her last year; a total of just over $1300 was raised thanks to friends, family, and the kindness of strangers who decided to join in the giving.

This year, Rileigh saw a video of the wildfires in Australia, where one of the populations impacted happens to be the Koala Bears.

Estimates thus far have been from 30% population reduction, to "functionally extinct".  While the fires, of course, take the life of some of the Koala's, it has heavily impacted eucalyptus trees which is where the Koala Bear derives the majority of its water.

Personally, for me, I just can't believe that such an iconic and well-known animal from the other side of the world is at risk of leaving this world, permanently.

Through the charity www.savethekoalas.com, Rileigh will be raising money to plant eucalyptus trees and add water stations to the areas most impacted.

Thank you for all taking the time out of your day share in what Rileigh found so important. Our goal is to not only have an impact, no matter how small, for these cute creatures but of course for Rieligh to learn whats important in life; toys for a birthday are ok, but soon collect dust... where the same resources can be re-allocated to making real change.

Happy New Year
