On the Edge of the Dream

A Golfer’s Dream

I have been chasing a dream since I was 8 years old. That dream is to compete against the best golfers in the world on the PGA tour.

I love sports, I love competition, but there’s nothing like having a golf club in my hands, sweat flowing everywhere from the tension, anticipation and excitement of looking at a fairway, green or cup knowing that the entire outcome lies strictly on me. There’s no one to blame if I don’t succeed, no one to help if I make a mistake. It’s on me. Just the way I’ve always wanted it. Ever since I was a little kid I have been practicing, imagining in my head and my hands that I have one shot to win the Masters, one putt to clinch the Ryder Cup, everything rests on me in that moment. That dream, that feeling, that need has never left me, and I have never been closer than now.

The Next Chapter

The time has come in my journey to ask for help. Though I love the fact that golf can be a lonely sport in all the ways I love, I realize that in order to get to that moment where everything is on you it takes a team. Michael Jordan didn’t get to those game winning moments without a team to help him throughout the game/season to get to that point. Over my four and half years as a professional golfer I have had to deal with success and failure. Quite frankly, I have truly grown up in that time, as has my golf game. Through the inevitable ebbs and flows of scoring and results throughout the years, my game has gotten to the point where I truly belong on the PGA Tour competing against the best in the world.  In order to get there, I need to keep fighting for opportunities to prove what I’m capable of.  I want to prove to everyone that setbacks, though a part of life, should never stop you from chasing your dream.  And that with the help of a team, an entire community of people, those dreams can be realized. And that’s why I’m turning to you.

How You Can Help

As one can imagine, the pursuit of this dream comes at a cost. I have hit a financial roadblock and need your help to get through it.

I am in need of $20,000 to $30,000 to carry me through the next six months. This resource will allow me to pay for entry fees, greens fees, travel expenses, training and equipment. As the practice and pursuit of this dream requires more than a full time commitment from my time and efforts, it is difficult to save this money on my own. Your assistance from this campaign will help me bridge the gap between now and Qualifying School for the Web.com tour this upcoming fall.

This is all an expensive but necessary part of my dream. Every dollar raised will go towards these expenses (detailed list below).

Here are two ways to step in and help me on this journey:

1) Pass this campaign on to others who you think may be interested in hearing my story and helping. Using email and social media are best for doing this.

2) A financial contribution of any amount. Every $1 helps tremendously.

I’ll be posting photos, videos and more information about my career thus far along with upcoming schedule possibilities through the duration of this campaign. If there is anything you want to see or know, just ask!
