RICK'S NECK SURGERY
Donation protected
About three years ago, a growth seemed to appear on the bottom part of my Dad's cheek. It didn't go away and seemed to get bigger. Not having insurance on himself, it was difficult to have a doctor even look at it.
Eventually, Dad was seen by Dr. Smith and Dr. Smith performed a biopsy which tests indicated that he had a small benign tumor growth. Without any urgency, and for lack of money, Dad let time pass.
Within the past year though, the tumor appeared to grow and move down towards Dad's neck-- clearly visible now to the naked eye. With the Family getting ancy, Dad finally had it checked by another general physician, Dr. S, who did an ultrasound which revealed that Dad now had a cyst expanding over the tumor. The cyst is filled with liquid.
Mom asked her best friend's husband to look at the records and give us some advise. Dr. B.N. told Dad that the good news was that it was not yet malignant or he'd be dead, BUT, Dad neeeded to have surgery ASAP and have the tumor removed and studied.
Dad still has no insurance and there are no programs that can help him. Estimates we have received are in the thousands of dollars. We, as a family, have a little, but not much to help out. We need some financial assistance and are asking if you can find it in your hearts to help us out? Thank you. Romeo Richie Villarreal
