Richie Family Fiberglass Home Contamination

My dear friends, the Richie family, in Prescott, AZ, are in a crisis and desperately need help. The mother, Amanda, has an autoimmune disease. The father, Joshua, is a frontline hero and has been fighting to save lives as a flight medic during this pandemic. They have 2 boys, Jackson, age 5, and Luken, age 3. Luken suffers from severe respiratory issues and has anaphylactic allergic reactions to multiple things. 

The Richies have lost much of their belongings inside their home due to fiberglass contamination from washing the mattress covers on their boys’ beds. There was no warning label on the mattresses or any tags at all. Nothing that would alert you to the fact the covers, which have zippers all the way around them, are not to be removed. So anyone would see that zipper and believe they are able to remove and launder the seemingly removable mattress covers. This really could happen to anyone! The covers destroyed their washer and dryer, and with the covers removed, the fiberglass particles in the beds were released into the air and spread quickly throughout their entire home. This contamination is especially dangerous to little Luken. The glass shards are static charged and attach to anything that is plastic, or made of cloth, or holds a static electrical charge. Now much of their belongings are covered in shards of fiberglass and it seems many things will be unable to be salvaged. They must now clean their home top to bottom to remove the fiberglass shards and try to salvage their personal belongings. The costs of this is adding up and the family does not know if they will be able to receive much assistance from their insurance company because this was such a freak accident.
