Those of you who know Richard Arias know him as the man who would do what he could to help.
If you needed anything, he was there. He said things like, “Absolutely”, and “What may I do for you?”, always with a smile and a friendly word or joke.
He has spent his life doing what he could to make the world a better place for others.
Now he needs your help.
Richard was diagnosed with bladder cancer in April of 2013. After an initial surgery to reduce the tumor size, 4 months of chemotherapy and a final surgery to remove the infected organs, he was pronounced “cancer free”.
For three years, no cancer was detected.
In early 2017, after a surgery to correct a developing complication from the 2013 surgery, he started having left back pain.
After multiple tests, stays in the hospital and several invasive procedures, he found out just before Memorial Day that his cancer had returned at stage 4; metastasized in his lower abdomen on the left side next to his spine.
He started Radiation, then Chemotherapy and finally Immune therapy.
On Christmas eve, he was rushed to emergency and admitted. His CT scan showed aggressive tumor growth. Despite all the treatments, the cancer had moved into his lungs and liver and his kidneys are now failing.
He came home on New Years eve to Hospice. He has only days before he gets his wings and goes home to Jesus.
Unfortunately, Richard’s funds have been depleted paying medical expenses, therefore, he does not have enough money to cover his burial and funeral expenses.
Any amount that you can contribute to help with Richard’s burial and funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.
