R-Hip surg. resection/reconstruct'n

My nephew Raha Del Rosario (27 y.o.) from the Philippines was recently diagnosed with Malignant Primary Bone Cancer of the right hip. The giant cell tumor needs to be removed as soon as possible. He is currently in so much pain, and only surgery will help him be free of pain and extends his life. He is going to have a surgical resection and reconstruction to the affected area to be able to walk without pain. The onco/surgeon says that he will fuse the right femur head to the right remaining hip, half or more of his right hip will be removed, his right leg will be couple inches shorter than the other one when he recovers. They are expecting to utilize 8 units of blood in a 6-8 hour-operation, and still unsure if there is going to be a second operation. The onco/surgeon are preparing for the plates and blood that he will need for the operation as well as the availability of the operating room before he can get a schedule for operation. We are hoping that he will undergo surgery as soon as possible. The doctor says to prepare Php300,000 equivalent to almost $6,000. We are hoping that we can collect at least half of this amount within a week or so. 
This funds that we will be able to collect will go directly to their account. He is currently on leave from work as a grade school teacher, and wife already resigned from work to take care of him and their two little ones (7 and 4 y.o.). Your financial assistance will mean a lot to this family. Surgery is the only way to save his life, let us help him get through this tough situation.
