The shock... After what Rhiannon thought was a simple gallbladder issue that brought her to seek the Urgent Care in May, quickly brought her down an unexpected walk for the fight of her life.
After testing and doctor visits she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with metastasis to her liver and lymph nodes. With no surprise this diagnosis is a tremendously tough one. It has required Rhiannon to endure an intense protocol of chemotherapy. She has been doing this all as a single mother of 2 beautiful girls, her perseverance pushing past her overwhelming side effects to try to be the best mother to her children . As the chemo has taken its toll on her body, her spirit has remained positive! After 4 months of hard and intense chemo the cancer markers continue to show promising decline. But the chemo has caused some unbearable side effects, which has forced Rhiannon to cut back on her work hours. Although this has been beneficial for her health for needed rest and recovery, but it also poses an extreme difficult financial burden. With extraordinarily high deductible costs, prescriptions, and other out of pocket expenses that goes along with cancer treatment, we are on a mission to take the burden of finances away and let Rhiannon have one less fight to overcome!
