#RHASTRONG:Help Rha-shon walk again

Overt the summer, my son, Rha-shon severed his spine in a car accident. The doctors said he was paralyzed from his shoulders down and would never walk again. So thankful that
Rha-shon is alive we begin reflecting on the silver lining.

Rha-shon's strong determination to walk again with the help of Spaulding Rehab, friends and family he can talk again, he can move his arms and he is improving with each day. Rha-shon has to teach his legs and the rest of his body how to move again and we know that it won't happen overnight. Due to the current and the uncertain future of the health care system we are fearful of the unknown medical cost.

Rha-shon is scheduled to come home October 11, and insurance has already denied a medically necessary bed because of cost (not care) so our fight begins.

Because Rha-shon has no control over his torso yet, so he has to be hoisted up out of the bed to the wheelchair and this is done with a Hoyer Lift. The hoyer lift cost $8000 dollars and thanks to the Travis Roy foundation for a $5000 dollars grant towards the hoyer lift we are more than half way there. Please help us raise the remaining $3000 for the lift and the unknown cost that lies ahead.
