For Nick

This is our friend, Nick. About 9 months ago he was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer and given just 6 months to live. He continues to fight the pain, fainting spells, and mental toll it takes to live when you know you're dying.

Despite his condition, he still tries to work when his friend can send little projects his way. Unfortunately, it's getting harder for him to summon the energy to work. He has no health insurance, so he's not receiving any palliative care or pain management. His parents have passed and he has no other safety net. We paid his rent last month to avoid eviction because he has $400 to his name. He lives in Florida and he was planning to move in with friends, but they backed out because they're afraid to watch him die. Nick just had to give his beloved bulldog to a friend because he doesn't have the money or energy to care for her anymore.
