Carolyn's Road to Recovery CarolynSmith had been living a nice life. She had a beautiful daughter about to enter college, lived on a 40 acre ranch rent property where she had horses, goats , chickens ,ducks, cat and a dog.Carolyn could tend to all her animals lift 10 lb bales of hay and walk her dog daily with any problems.Trouble started when the property sold to a third party by the owners and the Smiths had to move somewhere else to live. They found a 1 bedroom apartment down the road in Auburn and squashed as many of thier belongings into it as possible. Had to put the rest in storage. This was good for a short time as their daughter was about to enter college.Several weeks later , Carolyn was given the shock of her lifetime. The man she had been married and together with for 30 years told her he was leaving . He had hooked up with another women. To Carolyn's dismay the other woman was a drug addict and MIke,Carolyns husband felt could help her break the addiction. Very soon after this horrible revelation,Carolyn contracted an infection which caused her to have severe diarrhea.Carolyn became very sick and could not eat sufficiently and she and was also extremely nauseated. The diarrehea and infection were treated with antiobiotics simultaenously but still did not help the problem and made her more nauseauted. Carolyn was miserable..Checked her self into the ER twice. Doctors found her extremely dehydrated and hooked her up to a IV to relace fluids. The discomfort from the constant diahrrhea was excruitiating and could no longer work or walk. Carolyn's infection caused her to lose 30 lbs.Carolyn finally went to a colorrectal surgeon after not having any succcess with the ER and primary doctor. He found she had a rectal abscess which required immediate surgery..Surgery was helpful the but the recovery took quite some time. There is also a potential for a second surgery but that will be determined once she is more stable.Carolyn is still weak and not able to bring an income and with mounting bills, she is in need of a assistance. Please consider a donation to help Carolyn get back on her feet so she may begin her life as a single woman.
