Marathon For Mind

With the world sat in a state of uncertainty its been hard to stay positive with Covid19 taking its tole on many peoples physical and mental health. One unsung hero of this pandemic is the charity Mind. Mind provide advice and support to help empower anyone experiencing any form of mental health problem. With the combination of information online, helplines and numerous support groups, Mind have helped millions of struggling people and continue to do so on a daily basis.

Here is where we come in....... our group consists of 6 lads, each of us having very different experiences of mental health. Between us all though this is a topic we  feel very passionate about. When deciding what challenge to set our selves we wanted nothing that catered to anyone specifically, knowing this we decided to walk a marathon. Not only will this test us physically but also mentally which is what we need to do.
Speaking to each other and sharing our thoughts can help us get through anything even if we are seriously under prepared and under trained. The next month will be spent working together to prepare for this walk pushing each other to the max, while letting as many people know about our event as possible to help support  Mind.
As a lasting thought a £20 donation to Mind pays to run a peer support group for one hour, helping someone demolish those lonely thoughts and replace those with better ones.
