My good friend Rezar Lewis was diagnosed in October of this year with Multiple Myeloma. This is a blood plasma disease which destroys the bones.
For those of you who know him, you know that he is an extraordinary human being, husband for over 30 years, father, brother, uncle, and a good friend. He is a great guy who loves sports, people and helping others.
He will be undergoing surgery in November, which we are praying will be successful. Following that he will also start chemotherapy and radiation.
Rezar worked 33 years in the financial services industry for Rand Financials, First Continental Trading (FCT), Sungard Futures and Fidelity Information Systems (FIS)
Because of this, he has been unable to work and will likely not be able to return until the Spring at the earliest. As of now he has not been granted short term disability, even then that does not provide enough pay to support him and his family. Some of his medical expenses are not covered and with the everyday necessities of life, money is getting tighter and tighter.
Rezar is one of the strongest, most selfless people that I have ever known and is always there to give a helping hand, love and support to anyone that needs it.
Now is the time that we send back some of that love and support to our brother. Anything you can donate will be truly appreciated. Everything we can do to help and surround him with love is what is most important so he can focus on beating this disease. Please spread the word. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
