Following the explosion in Beirut, I was compelled to start a fundraising campaign in support of the long-term results of such a disaster: the future of the children in Beirut, Lebanon.
Due to the GoFundMe country restrictions, I am raising these funds on behalf of this K-12 school here in the US. I will be covering all donation & processing fees.
Ecole des Trois Docteurs in Achrafieh was the second of three Orthodox schools that we reached out to. This schools suffered structural and material damages as it was exposed directly to the explosion. Many of the students from this school reside in the impacted region, have either lost their homes, school materials or both. Before the explosion, and despite the pandemic, many students or teachers use the school facility of faster and more stable internet platform for online education.
This fundraiser is focused on replacement of all IT or related hardware needs for this school.
I have also spoken directly to one of the IT directors, Mr. Eddy Raffoul, who has equally shared the inspiring stories of volunteers, staff, and teachers helping with immediate relief efforts. You will hear more than one story of how the entire school staff has immediately risen to begin rebuilding the premises.
