Building God's Kingdom Ethiopia

Pastor Delesa Gnaro is the leader of a Pentecostal church in Ethiopia with over 5,000 members located in the capital Addis Ababa and 4 additional locations in rural Ethiopia. In Mendi, a rural town of 250,000 inhabitants, he has been given a prime parcel of land (2 ha) on which he intends to build a Christian School and Community Hall. The parcel of land comes with the condition that he builds on the land before the end of 2019.

 A local building contractor, who is a member of his congregation, has drawn up plans and a quotation for the first building and preparation is under way. We need $20,000 to complete the first stage of the project comprising an initial four room dwelling and a perimeter fence, which will secure the land. Additional stages of development are to follow.

The school will teach Christian life skills and English amongst others to the children of the families in the church, and will extend its ministry, in particular to children without family.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these”. (Mat 19:14)
