THE GOAL: To raise £1,000 to provide reusable sanitary pads to 100 girls at Rainbow Hope Secondary School in Malawi, Africa.
Thousands of girls in Malawi miss school every day because they are menstruating. There are no adequate sanitation facilities for them and they do not have funds to buy disposable sanitary pads. A pack of locally made sanitary pads costs £10 and will last each girl 4 years.
Trinitas Mhango is local community women that owns a small company in Malawi that makes reusable sanitary pads. She dreams of supplying 'Tina Pads' to all the girls in Malawi so not another school day is missed.
This money will go to purchasing 'Tina Pads' for all the girls at Rainbow Hope Secondary School!

SECONDARY GOAL: To raise £1,500 to send 40 students from Rainbow Hope Secondary School in Malawi, Africa on safari.
If we are able to raise more than £1,000 we will use the additional money to send the final year students at Rainbow Hope Secondary School to visit Liwonde National Park, where they will go on a day safari and take part in a conservation workshop. Even though they live and go to school so close by none of the students have been on safari before so it would be an incredible opportunity for them and something they can look forward to once they complete their end of year exams.
This fall We Are Travel Girls is taking a group of women to Malawi on a Safari & Charity trip with The Responsible Safari Company. Part of the trip will be spent mentoring students at Rainbow Hope School. The money we raise with this campaign will help us give back to the community as part of this amazing charity trip. Thank you for helping us help underprivileged students in Malawi!
