Hurricane Harvey is proving itself to be one of the worst floods in US History. Many of our dedicated staff from all departments including the clinical, research and administrative teams have been affected by this devastating storm. Too many employees have lost their homes, cars, and in some cases all of their possessions. We have had several calls and emails from colleagues and friends asking how they can donate. Our warmest thank you goes out to all of you. Here is how.
An RCH Hurricane Harvey Employee Relief Fund now exists through Go Fund Me. This fund will be distributed to RCH employees who have suffered loss due to the storm. All funds will be managed carefully and distributed by an RCH Hurricane Disaster Committee based on need. Shawn Harkey, COO for Retina Consultants of Houston, is coordinating the funding effort and will assist with its distribution to assist RCH employees impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
