Please Help With MoMo's Care

With your generous help MoMo is now here in the U.S.! A short time after arriving he was admitted to the hospital with some respiratory & gastro issues. After 69 days in CV-ICU he was released with a lot of life-support equipment. He currently has a tracheostomy and is on a ventilator, a G/J feeding tube, monitors, oxygen etc... He's such a good-natured little guy and takes everything in stride.
The respiratory/pulmonary/gastro issues requiring life-support equipment were unexpected and we haven't been able to get home health care covered at this time- still working on it, but as of right now it's Jen & Nick...24/7. Neither of us are nurse material but until we get help we're managing the care.
Many people have ask about donating and several have ask specifically about this page so I'm updating it. All money coming in goes towards Mo's care and medical needs.
We're so thankful for all that's been provided so far and are confident that the Lord will continue to supply whatever little MoMo needs.
We are Nick & Jennifer Vasiliades and this little cutie is Mo-Mo (Mohamed Sore). He is 13 months old and is from the African nation of Burkina Faso. We had the privilege of helping to care for him for four months earlier this year. Mo has a congenital heart condition and has already had one very successful heart surgery at Wolfson Children’s Hospital here in Jacksonville. He is in need of several more future surgeries but his health has suddenly taken a downturn in Africa. He needs an immediate medical transport from Burkina Faso to Florida, where he will live with us while awaiting his next surgery and then recovering. Mo’s health is steadily deteriorating and he needs to get to the U.S. asap---within the next two weeks is our hope.
Incredibly, Mo’s pediatric heart surgeries and aftercare are completely covered. But we need to get him here first! There are travel expenses, immigration attorney fees and some medical needs and expenses not covered. Mo-Mo will be with us for at least a year. No donation is too small! Thank you! These are Mo’s immediate needs:
1) Airline tickets for Mo-Mo and his medical escort
Update: Dr. K. is planning to go to Burkina around Oct. 9th to pick Mo-Mo up.
Update: 2) Oxygen concentrator (medical device) (We've obtained this and it's on its way to Mo-Mo as of Friday 9/22!)
3) Court costs/attorney fees in both countries for Mo-Mo to legally enter the U.S.
4) Some non-cardiac related basic health care while he is here in the U.S. He tends to be fragile and we expect more than a few medical bills.
We will be withdrawing these funds to cover items listed here and also to care for his daily needs when he arrives.
