Today we unfortunately mourn the loss of Sergeant Kevin Forsberg who passed away yesterday. Sergeant Forsberg was a veteran law enforcement officer with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO). Sergeant Forsberg was a great father, family man, great person, great friend to those who knew him, and a great law enforcement officer. Sergeant Forsberg served as a Sergeant of BSO’s Homicide Unit where he oversaw a unit of dedicated men and women, who all collectively work tirelessly to protect the community from some of society’s most dangerous individuals. Sergeant Forsberg gave and dedicated everything he had to his family, friends, coworkers, and the community. These unexpected tragedies in life come with many hardships. The International Union of Police Associations (I.U.P.A.) Local 6020 is respectfully asking members of the public to please assist in alleviating some of the financial hardships this situation will cause the family by donating to the below Go Fund Me account.
