Note: Hi! I am Vivian's sister Rebecca Roa and I am creating this GFM for Vivian and her wife's family dog, Chula. All fundings raised here will go directly to Vivian and her wife. Please read below:
"On Tuesday, November 24th, our 14 year old Chula showed symptoms of "Old Dog" Vestibular Disease. We will spare you the photos, but the symptoms included, but not limited to head tilting, vomiting, shaking, and loss of coordination. Chula received treatment and medication at her vet and said improvement should be seen within a few weeks. By Thursday, she was drooling and wouldn't eat. On Friday, Chula was bleeding from her anus and had to go to the ER: Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care Center. It was then they discovered not only did Chula have "Old Dog" Vestibular Disease, but Addison's Disease as well. Since she was at the upper end of her life, it was recommended she be put to sleep. Her body was much too sick and it was not responding to IV and Pain treatment. This was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision, but knew it was time for Chula to rest.
We are covering all of her vet bills that have accumulated this week, but we need help with the final bill. The total cost of care for Chula came to $669.70. The bill is attached for proof. We appreciate all the support you can give us by donating or sharing. Thank you so much."
