Doctorate Research: Women with ASD

Every contrubution counts. The experiences of women on the autism spectrum are still very much misunderstood. In part, because autistic girls/women are better at masking their difficulties than autistic boys/men. As part of attaining my Doctorate in Psychotherapy, I am researching the lives of women with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). My research will contribute toward a better understanding of support needs, life experiences, and presentation. Furthermore the aim is to improve resources available to the community, improve diagnosis and support efforts, and to upskill psychologists and psychotherapists with knowledge and insight on how to work with women on the spectrum. The subject of the study is deeply personal to me as I am a women with autism. I am also a Clinical Psychologist and psychotherapist who work with people of all ages on the spectrum. I do diagnostic assessments and interventions particular to the identified needs of each unique individual. As we increase our knowledge about women on the autism spectrum, we improve the resources available to them, and upskill the professionals that provide them with care and guidance.

What I need: I am reaching out for financial assistance to complete the research because a reliable sponsor could unfortunately not fulfill their commitment.

To complete the study, I need €7500 by July 21.
It is a short time frame, which is why it would be hard for me to offset the lost sponsorship.

My Commitment: Funds raised will go toward tuition fees only. All other expenses related to the study are budgeted. I will update this website with my progress and post receipts of payments to the university where I am pursuing my research.
