Research for Orthostatic Tremor
Donation protected
My name is Matthew Pezzone. In September of 2015 I was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease called Orthostatic Tremor or OT. There is currently no cure or effective treatment for OT. This disease does not allow me to stand for more than 5 to 10 seconds without creating a tremor that starts in my legs, then radiates through my entire body. The money from this fundraiser will go to the Orthostatic Tremor research and education fund, headed by Dr. Diego Torres of the University of Nebraska. His group is one of the very few research teams making headway in the study of OT. I myself was fortunate enough to attend a week full of clinical trials with Dr. Torres along with about 60-70 others. I currently write a blog about my experiences with this disease and plan to have a series of fundraisers. This my first attempt, but certainly not my last. Please donate to solve the riddle of this rare Neurological disease. mpezzoneot.com
