Rescuing Galahad

A little over a week ago, my husband and I took a huge leap and flew to Texas to bring home a giant breed puppy (estimated 12-18mo), Galahad. We knew he was heartworm positive and we were ready for that. He's also extremely underweight, clearly hadn't been fed enough. We were not prepared for an incidental finding of a metal object in his abdomen necessitating an urgent surgery, his excessive thirst and urination making the vet worry about him being too weak for surgery with possible diabetes, and holy crap this is gonna be a huge bill.  We are asking for anyone who can help chip in so we can rush this surgery and the evaluations he needs before (ultrasound, echo, so much more to try to make sure he won't die under the knife). So many of you have offered to help already, and we are so grateful.  We consider this a short term loan and intend to pay every one of you back every red cent. If you can help, we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. This has been an emotional roller coaster.
