Resch's Flood Relief

Dear Family,

As you obviously know, our area has been hit hard from Hurricane Harvey.  We were blessed at our home in Atascocita to not have any water or flooding, but our daughter, Kelli and her family did sustain damage from flooding.  I live in Atascocita, TX.  Our daughter is in Nederland, TX, and have sustained damage to their home due to the storm Harvey.  

I am sending out this gofundme.com campaign to help Kelli and Erin Resch.  I am their mother.  As most of you know, they moved to Nederland(Beaumont area) a month ago. Unfortunately, they took on water in their home from Harvey.  They are in the process of pulling up carpets, baseboards, sheetrock, etc.  They will have to replace that sheetrock, paint, replace their floors, possibly kitchen cabinets, some furniture, towels(they used all of theirs to try to mop up the dirty water)and other personal belongings which is what these funds will be used for.  As with 80% of the flood victims, they don't have flood insurance.  They were advised that they weren't in a flood plain.  

I want to make perfectly clear that they are very hesitant to let me set this up because they say "there are so many more people with much more serious damage".  I don't know about you, but if I am inclined to donate to flood relief, I would much rather make sure the funds were going to someone I know and was sure the funds would be used in the right way.

I am only sending this out to family and Kelli specifically requested that it not be shared on Facebook.  If you feel that friends would like to share in this opportunity, please just give them the link to the gofundme through email.  Please don't feel that you have to donate.  I just wanted to make this need known and give you that opportunity.  I hope that I have everyone's email, but if you don't see someone on the list that is in the family, please share privately.

Kelli Resch has been named beneficiary to this account and has accepted the notification from Gofundme.  She will receive the funds directly.  They will not go through me.
