A Haitian float in Jersey City's Caribbean Parade

Donation protected
Hey, Sak pasé, Sa kap fet!
Haiti needs a float in the Jersey City's Caribbean Parade & I'm hoping you can help me make it happen.

I'm Justin Hyppolite Jr and in 2022 I had the honor of serving as a Grand Marshall representing Haiti in the Jersey City Caribbean Parade. It was a very proud moment for me but bitter sweet. Born and raised in Brooklyn, I've been to Brooklyn's Caribbean Parade many, many times over the decades and watched how the Haitian representation grew from a few folks walking with a cart and flags to where it is now, arguably, the Haitian, Jamaican Parade (✌)!! Biggup to Wyclef Jean leveling it up!
Fast forward to 2022 and I'm a nostalgic 1st time Grand Marshall, taking full advantage of all the accesses, watching the floats & bands & costumes, set up & hype up before kick off.
I join in, dancing and walking in the parade...then hustled my way to the viewing stands, thinking that maybe I missed them but, no.
Right then & there I knew I wouldn't be a Grand Marshall in 2023.
I need to be in the parade and repping for Ayiti.

It was amazing and I knew I had to be part of it.
Well l, it's happening and the theme is, "Tap Tap Ra Ra".
Nothing is more iconically Ayisyen than the Haitian Tap Tap & nothing is more infectious than Mizik Racine.
I'm getting a truck decorated like a Tap Tap, loading it with speakers and drummers to bring some of our special magic to Jersey City.

It's not easy and definitely not cheap but I got the ball rolling.
I just need to bring it home.
That's why I'm reaching out to you now.

If it's within your means, please donate what you can and even if you can't, come out to the parade route July 22nd!!
