My son Kayden was a victim of a hit and run on Friday, Oct 3rd while he was at an Elder football game. The car he worked double shifts all summer to pay for is totaled. Our insurance, unfortunately, will not cover any of the damage since we don't have the driver that caused the wreck. My son is devastated. He worked so hard to earn that car and only got to enjoy it for a couple of months before an irresponsible human destroyed his prized possession. I want to show my son that his hard work was not in vain. I want to replace his car.
A little about Kayden: Kayden is a senior at Elder High School. He is a good student and a good friend. Kayden works for Strong's Pizza where he does dishes. He takes his job very seriously and is never one to miss a shift or an opportunity to pick up an extra shift when he is able. Kayden just did an early entry program for the United States Marine Corps. He will go to boot camp when he turns 18. Kayden scored very high on the entry test and will hopefully go on to serve his country well. Kayden has never been a kid to expect a handout or feel entitled to anything. He has worked very hard for the things he wants. Everyone I meet that knows Kayden always has very kind and positive things to say about him. That makes me so proud as his mother. I don't want my son to be discouraged and think that his hard work was in vain. I am asking if you are able to please donate a little something to help me replace his prized Mustang and show him that this community comes together to help one another. I am proud to be a part of such a community and proud that Kayden chose to be part of the Elder family. Thank you and have a blessed day.
