Repair of storm damage

I don't like to ask for help and I really do not want to be asking for help. We are a family of 5 and we all have physical health issues. I am dealing with chronic atypical migraines caused by post concussion syndrome. I have been out of work for 4 months now and due to the kindness of charity and savings we were getting by. Waiting on my short-term disability to pay. Voya is the company and they seem to have just one more question for my neurologist, who by the way has been very gracious and kind (Saint Marys Neurological Clinic) regarding the reems of paperwork and medical records Voya has required. My stepdaughter suffered SEVERE child abuse and has a long list of psych issues from it and also has pelvic pain disorder which has impacted her ability to find work. My husband has back issues. History of ruptured disk, arthritis, and misalignment of his sacral joints from an undiagnosed case of a milder version of scoliosis. He lives in constant pain. My children are mildly autistic and have ADHD as well. The Red Cross has helped us, and a lot of friends have really helped regarding removing the fallen tree from our house. My savings are all but gone and I do not know how we are going to pay for supplies to fix the roof and my daughters bed room. Parts of the ceiling are now on the floor and one wall and the gable will need rebuilt. Gutters and siding replaced, and professional help if its required. My husband doesn't like to ask for help either and plans to do all the work himself and I question if that is a good idea. We have a 10,000 deductable with our home owners insurance. The tree that fell on my house was dead and on a neighbors property. They said they are not at fault and to call my insurance company, which I had done. The insurance company does not remove the tree, or help with everything that we need to do before any check is cut (not sure one will be as they said we have to pay 10,000 first and to save receipts) and my insurance company said that they can not do anything regarding the neighbors tree regarding liability. It looks like I may need to get some legal advice as well. Thank-you for your time and for reading this.
