Kidney Transplant

Donation protected
I met my good friend A’mon Turner at Fannin Junior high over 30 years ago. A’mon participated and excelled in football and track at at Palo duro high School for three years. A’mon then went on to mentor and support kids as a coach for the Kids Incorporated program for 5 years before moving to the Dallas area. While in Dallas, he maintained a successful 11-year teaching career with the Dallas and Richardson Independent School districts, assisting many children in getting a quality education. One day, A’mon thought he had food poisoning so went to the hospital only to found out he was in kidney failure. He was placed on dialysis immediately and has been on dialysis since July of 2014. Due to the length of time  has been on dialysis and how young and strong he is he is being moved up on the kidney transplant list fairly quickly.  It's possible that there may be multiple attempts for a kidney match. It is not an automatic 1 time trip/attempt.  It may take 1-5/6 attempts before a match is made. There will be a lot of costs associated a kid transplant including travel, lodging, food, Supplies and miscellaneous medical costs. A'mon has always supported his community and now is the time for the community to come together to support him. A'mon wanted to make sure to get the message to his community to pay attention to our health, get those checkups and if there's a problem get it checked out right away don't wait. The most important thing to A'mon is to make sure he sees his young son grow up. A'mon is a dedicated father and his son is the absolute light of his life. He wants to fight to see his son grow into a successful man. Any amount you can spare will be appreciated. Thank you so much for supporting this outstanding example of what a man could and should be.
