Renewing Ham Pond Island

Ham Pond is the heart of the area. It is a haven to wildlife while also providing a beautiful spot for everyone to enjoy. The island in the pond used to give a place for birds to nest, including our resident swans, as well as adding to aesthetics of the area.

Sadly, over the years the island has eroded and is now too small for bids to nest. Restoring it is expensive requiring specialists with the correct expensive and equipment to work in water.

The Ham and Petersham Association and Amenities Amenities Group have committed several £000s as has Richmond Council but we need more funds to carry out the work in the early Spring 2024.
