Renae Heikkila cancer FIGHT!

You’re reading this because you know Renae Heikkila. You know she’s been battling various forms of cancer for half of her adult life. Cancer sucks! This fight is the most intense she’s faced to date. The fight is treating it to give her the most time possible on this earth. The fight is buying her time to enjoy family and friends for as long as possible. The fight is to let her hold her granddaughter and make memories.  Renae is all in for a fight!  She has suffered many set backs already but has fought through all of them.   This fundraiser is to help lessen the financial burden so that she can use her physical and mental energies for treatments. Renae has been there for so many people during their time of need. Those who know her well know that to be true. I was fortunate enough to have her by my side through a very difficult and scary time in my life. When I had heart surgery Renae came and sat with me in the hospital, snuck food in for me, laughed with me, and spent many nights crying with me and comforting me. I can always count on her through the good and the bad. I can promise you all…. she would do the same for anyone of you.

Art and Renae’s bills didn’t stop after her breast cancer treatment. They continue through her pancreatic cancer treatment. As most of you know this evil cancer has spread to her liver and abdominal wall.  Each day brings new expenses for traditional medications and treatments along with expenses for nontraditional treatments.  She is on disability but this comes nowhere close to her normal income.  She’s going to throw everything at this disease including the kitchen sink. What would you do for another year on this earth? Whatever that is it would cost money. It would cost money for the treatment; It would cost for the gas to and from treatments, medications and first aid materials...the list goes on and on...eventually it would cost for the funeral. Please take this time to consider donating to alleviate some of the tremendous strain these costs bring to their household.
