Remembering Scott Eggers
On July 29, 2021, our community tragically lost Scott Eggers to complications of COVID-19. Scott’s 15-year-old son Andy remains hospitalized with the same horrible illness.
Scott Eggers was a lot of things to us all. For some of us a trusted confidant and bearer of great wisdom. He was always willing to help out and be there for anyone, anytime. He was the kindest soul many of us have ever met and was a friend to everyone. But as good a friend as Scott was to all of us, he was an even better husband and father. He lived for Dee Dee and Andy and loved them with a selfless devotion that never wavered.
The sudden loss of a spouse and father is always devastating, but Dee Dee and Andy face special challenges going forward. As a liver transplant recipient, Dee Dee’s health is fragile and her capacity to work outside the home is limited, particularly in light of the ongoing pandemic.
This fund raiser is organized by Lee Warren, a close friend of Scott’s through Boy Scouts, who has been authorized by Dee Dee Eggers. Funds will go toward the many expenses that Dee Dee and Andy will face as they lay Scott to rest, as Andy recovers from his own COVID-19 illness, and as their little family adapts to life without their beloved husband, father, and provider.
