Remembering Our Mom Dawnde Bruce

On September 4th 2018, three amazing siblings lost their mother incredibly unexpectedly. And now being faced with one of the most challenging things someone has to go through at a much younger age than they should have to they are also burden with the many details and financial costs.
Their mother always loved them more than anything in the entire world, more than she loved herself. Throughout her life she had dealt with many horrible demons and was unfortunately placed into incredibly challenging situations.
She fought very hard with her demons but now she is at peace.
The two eldest children, Jenny and Rob, are now bearing the responsibility of the decisions and finances. And worst of all, telling and being strong for their younger sister, Kaylie, who is almost twelve and living in foster care in the Bay Area.
When the news reached the two of them they immediately went to figuring out the next steps, resulting in adding stress onto their grief. Jenny, the eldest, was on the first day of her honeymoon in London and has been struggling with trying to change flights and get refunds, but the travel agencies have not budged on the issue. She just needs to get home to be with her family.
Rob and I immediately left work and our home in the SF Bay Area to drive to Orange County where they had grown up and his mother had lived.
This family does not deserve the amount of heartache they have been dealt. It breaks my heart to see them in so much pain while they also must worry about how to pay for all of the expenses. Mom’s are never perfect, but every single child deserves to mourn their mother and give her the remembrance she deserves.
We’re trying to raise money for any expenses as a result of the service/funeral as well as getting Jenny home from London ASAP as she is currently stuck and she needs to be here in order to make decisions with the paperwork and release forms.
Any extra funds would cover other traveling expenses and hopefully to send Jenny and her husband back on the honeymoon they deserved to have.
We need all the support we can get in this devastating time and we thank and love each and every one of you.
