Remembering Miss Bunny

Theresa Ann (Groover) “Miss Bunny” Vance, age 68, of Willis Road, Lavonia, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at her home. Born November 14, 1949, in Asheville, NC, she was the daughter of the late: Russell Blaine Groover and Donnie Patricia (Beachboard) Groover. She graduated from North Buncombe High School and taught at the Lavonia United Methodist Church’s Alpha Center Preschool for many years. Miss Bunny was the owner/operator of the Bunny Patch Daycare Center in Lavonia. More recently she worked as a hostess at Cracker Barrel in Lavonia. Miss Bunny was a member of the Lavonia First Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law: Tracy & Mike Boykin and Terri & Bradley Holt; daughter: Toni Vance-Segars; their father: Gary Vance; sister & brother-in-law: Doris & G. D. Hensley; brother-in-law: Dan Warren; and grandchildren: Justin, Christine, & Connie Boykin, Maggie, Melissa, Garrett, & Morgan Holt, Xavier & Macy Segars, and Evan Vance. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters: Betty Warren and Donnie McLendon.
