Remembering Joseph Wetzler

There are those people that walk into our lives and leave an impression that will stay with us through eternity. For anyone who knew Joseph Wetzler, he very much was the kid that had that same impact on those around him. He is the type of kid that has a smile that could light up a room. He is absolutely full of kindness, compassion, empathy, and a very large dose of determination with a hint of stubbornness. It’s impossible to not love him.
He has a passion for family, he is unbelievably close to his cousins and grandparents, and you could not help but laugh if you’re around him. He is ridiculously intelligent, has been a Straight A student, and I don’t think those around him could be more proud of the amazing human being that he is.
Life has a way of quickly happening to each of us when we least expect it. And unfortunately that rang true with our sweet Joe. After spending the last few weeks in the ICU at Presbyterian St Luke’s Hospital, he lost his fight and heaven gained an angel on November 13, 2017.
As we all know, a stay in the ICU does not come cheap. And the mountain of medical bills along with the funding to lay this sweet boy to rest are a lot.
If you can donate a little, it would greatly help his family to focus on celebrating his life as well as giving them time to grieve without that worry in the distance.
