Remembering David Ronald

Donation protected
On Friday, August 25, we lost a wonderful man. David Ronald had worked at Inland Northwest Blood Center in transfusion services since 2013 and was a constant inspiration to the many people he worked with over the years.

David had faced health issues and had been waiting years for a kidney transplant. Despite his battles with his health, David rarely called in sick and was always extremely reliable, dependable, and is described as a team player. He is remembered as the embodiment of “integrity” and for his strength regardless of what life threw at him.

“For me, David will always be remembered as a beacon of strength; Strength to provide for his family, Strength to support his team and Strength to do his job everyday despite the trials of his illness.  My only wish for David’s family is that they can somehow find that same strength in the love of those closest to them for the days ahead.  I will miss you David, but I am content knowing you left this world with unstoppable Strength.  My deepest sympathies during this time of loss.”

David recently received word that he would be able to receive a kidney transplant. Inland Northwest Blood Center’s HLA Laboratory did the work to match David and his kidney donor, and David utilized blood products from INBC during the transplant.

On Monday, August 21, David went in for that long-awaited kidney transplant. While the transplant itself went well, unfortunately, David succumbed to complications unrelated to the kidney transplant the evening of August 25.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca and his three children: Miranda, 20, Breanna, 18, and Alexander, 15.

In an effort to support his family during such a terrible time, INBC has decided to set up a GoFundMe page to benefit David’s family and the financial burdens that come with the loss of a family member.

Thank you to all the staff who helped work so INBC could provide our services that assisted with David’s long-awaited kidney transplant, and thank you to everyone who wishes to assist in remembering David and assisting his family during this time.
