Remembering Alderman Jesse Evans

Jesse J. Evans, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. Former Alderman of the 21st Ward from 1987 - 1997, he was also a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, and who many always continued to refer to as, Alderman.  After suffering a stroke in 2008, his health continued to fail him. He fought every step of the way until he finally lost his battle. Whenever asked how he was doing, his response would always be, "The Lord Has Been Good to Me". To his entire family, he was The Rock that we could stand on. We will always honor and keep him in our hearts. During this moment of grief, we are in need of financial assistance to help pay for the final expenses of honoring our beloved hero as soon as possible. Any donation made, regardless how small or great, would truly be appreciated.  Our family greatly thanks you for your sacrifice.
