Relocation & Lawyer Fund - Dangerous Neighbors

Donation protected

On October 18th at 11:30pm a shotgun was fired into my living room ceiling. Luckily I was asleep.

The police arrived and knocked on my neighbor’s door and he pretended not to be there (even though I heard him walking around). The police then decided to leave because “there was not enough information to enter”.

The police checked his apartment the next dayand surprise: No weapon was found. The neighbor said that he was not home and he “thinks sone broke into his apartment and did it”...The police say that because of this story, they couldn’t prove he did it. (Yes I know. Ridiculous.)

My landlord did not push to evict him even after a year of noise complaints from me plus a gunshot.

I have lived in this apartment for 3 years. My neighbor has been there for about a year and a half.

Fast forward to November 13th and 26 days of sleeping on friend’s couches, I go back to pickup mail and I find this skull on my door and I know it is a (alleged) threat from my neighbor.

I told lapd and my landlord about this and theyboth said there was nothing they could do.
Later that evening, KTLA arrived at my house to report on my story and the fact that nothing happened to this neighbor.

As I go inside for the first time since the week of the shooting, I notice a SECOND gunshot hole  in my ceiling!

The news crew took video and we exited.

After we left the neighbor notices us filming and threatens our lives. We manage to get in our cars before it escalates further.

I call the police and my landlord to notify themabout the new shotgun hole and the threats

The police arrest him for threats, but not the new hole.

While telling my landlord about the new hole, she says “Ok but I have a question: are you going to pay your rent?”

I say “Why should I pay rent for a place that I haven’t been able to safely live for 26 days?”

She says “I know, but your stuff is still there and you are responsible for your belongings”.

I say “It’s your responsibility to evict dangerous people that are destroying YOUR property”

Her response “the lawyers are saying we don’t have a case to evict and we are tired of paying these $75 consultation fees”

This is what I am dealing with. Please help in any way you can. If you know a lawyer please send them this article with details before they contact me:

Too many lawyers are telling me there is “nothing” I can do. I don’t care about money, but kind words can help too.

I just need help out of this nightmare.
