Pressure Point Relief for Brian

Hello, my name is Patricia Dominey. My son is Brian Dominey. As most of you know, Brian is battling a rare neurological disease. He has been bedridden for over five years.

Brian has an URGENT need. For the last four and a half years he has been using an alternating pressure pad system, which he has had no problems with. Several weeks ago the pump for Brian's mattress malfunctioned. He tried a new pump. The manufacturer changed the way the pump operates, and it has been nothing but trouble for him. He tried working with the new pump as much as he could, but the pain level escalated to an all-time high. As a result, he started developing bedsores on his back.

Approximately four weeks ago, Brian's DME company swapped his mattress out for an alternative to the mattress he was using. The company has worked with Brian to try to find the best solution for his needs. After working with the mattress that he is currently using, he is in more pain than ever. Brian spends about 90% of his time in a hospital bed and the majority of that time is spent sitting up. Due to the pain level that he is currently experiencing, it has required him to lay down most of the day. This is not ideal for Brian because he is required to sit up for eating, brushing his teeth, shaving, range of motion exercises, and many other needs. He also feels non-productive because, as most of you know, he maintains the Sweetwater Church of God website and YouTube channel, writes a daily devotion on Facebook, as well as reading his Bible online. This is his ministry for the time being, and this problem has put him out of commission. This is discouraging to Brian.

It has been recommended that he tries a TempurPedic Mattress. We have done research, and we feel like this may work for him. As you may or may not know, TempurPedic mattresses are very expensive. With Brian and his family's situation, they are in a financial hardship. The cost of the TempurPedic mattress is $2,387.00, which includes the mattress, cover, taxes, and delivery (TempurPedic website).

As a mother, I don't like to see my son suffer. He's already going through enough. I am hosting this fundraiser, and I am asking you to consider making a donation.
