Family needs help from Hurricane

David Townsend (from Alexandria, MN) & Kerri (Anderson) Townsend (from Oshkosh, WI) along with their two boys, Boden (4) and Luke (1) moved to the Island of St. Maarten August 2016. Dave started Medical School at the American University of the Caribbean two weeks after Luke was born.
Hurricane Irma passed directly over St. Maarten September 6, 2017. This was the most distructive hurricane the Atlantic has ever seen with wind gusts of 250mph. 80% of the Island is in ruins with no electricity or water.
They were forced to leave their apartment. Families were given 30 minutes to pack and get to the airport for evacuation. Upon arrival at the airport, luggage was taken away, and only one backpack per adult was allowed. As you can imagine, traveling with young children, the items in their backpack had to be diapers, formula, and a few toys. Everything else was left behind or destroyed.
Dave and Kerri have voiced their appreciation for all the love and support they have received. They are also so grateful to have survived this devastation. Many have asked them what they can do to help, so this gofundme account will help them get back on their feet.
