Reiki to support Nurses, Doctors & Paramedics
Hi, I’m Tatia Churchill, a Reiki Practitioner helping to deliver the ground-breaking Reiki Medic-Care (RM-C) initiative to frontline NHS medical professionals. Now I want to use my enthusiasm to raise funds so that this service can treat more and more nurses, doctors and paramedics affected by increased demands during the pandemic.
Reiki Medic-Care is a volunteer-led service that provides free distant Reiki treatments to frontline hospital-based, NHS doctors, nurses and ambulance paramedics suffering from work-related stress and burnout.
All the Reiki practitioners and organisers give their time for free and, together, we’ve delivered almost 500 distant treatments so far. The first research data from the project shows that the medics find the treatments help reduce their stress, anxiety, pain, and sleep problems.
As well as the founders and directors volunteering their time, they have together donated over 50% of the funds needed to launch and support the project so far with the remaining funds being raised from seed funders. However, Covid-19 meant that fundraising for Reiki Medic-Care slowed almost to a halt for months.
Some of those we have treated are dealing with long Covid and are desperate to get back to work. Some have returned for repeat treatments.
The first research data from the project shows that the medics find the treatments help reduce their stress, anxiety, pain, and sleep problems. https://reikimedic-care.org/research/
Reiki is making a difference! Please help us to reach more of our NHS medical professionals who are suffering from burnout.
Thank you!
